Lag and Weekend
I've 11'000 average ping from yesterday, and I just saw the message of the new double glad point weekend.
I would play RA these 2 days, to reach my glad. 2 title, but I cannot do any well in the arenas with this lag.
The question is simple: will this lag end within the beginning of the new special weekend?
(Sry for posting another Thread on the same argument, but this way I'm sure my question won't be ignored)

Ever since the weekend my ping has dropped from an average of 450 to 250. When ever I map to a town or a popular outpost I always choose the last district to avoid lag and trade spam.

I'm also going to join you folks and say "way hey I got lag too".
Had it today and its beyond a joke where u can not move very much in the Guild Hall and European Districts.
Think I'll try another diagnostic report, send it to ANET and hope this helps them in someway.
This story is very similar to last weeks lag, lag in mid week then an happy lag weekend event *sighs*.

For the past couple of weeks I've been hearing about other players getting horrendous lag, but it wasn't affecting me....until today....
The game is unplayable. Can't move, can't jump to other outposts without getting err=007 disconnects, I'm even seeing players respond to my comments in local chat box before my comments have appeared. I 'play' in England, on Euro servers, and I know it's not my internet connection or provider because I'm having no problems whatsoever in any other internet programmes or games.

that's what I wish they'll avoid...
If I wont be able to play the special weekend because of this lag, then I'll be very, very annoyed...

This is crazy; it takes 5 minutes to load Shing Jea Monastery (god forbid trying Kaineng Center aka Lag Central!).
When I try to get to my Guild's hall I get disconnected...
Lag has always been bad on European servers but this is just crazy...

On guildwars.com
there is an apology for a problem on the german server
ive gone up to 85k for pings
i cant do anything at all, pvp battles are over before i load up
it can only be GW server, as ive managed to rule out everything else by using other computers, different routers, even uninstalled and reinstalled the client, no change at all
the server needs to be sorted or i might have to switch to WoW
and i dont want to do that unless i have to

Everyone do a -diag report and send it to Anet. See Diagnostic post in Technicians corner.
Don't keep moaning just DO IT. The more the merrier, or not if you have to inspect them all as an Anet employee. If we bog them down with reports they will have to work harder to clear this mess up.
Mind you, no reply from Anet after I sent one in on Sunday

I solved my lag problems moving to the international districts.
If in European dis my average ping was around 3'000-4'000, in the id's it's 300-400, surely more playable...
Try this out guys, you may be as lucky as me!! xD

Anet's reporting that progress may have been made to fix the lag issues.
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...90#post2973690
If you're still having lag issues on European servers, I'd recommend that you do a new -diag report and email that back to PlayNC support to help them determine where else the problem may be.

They're reporting that they're taking steps to fix the lag in Europe, yet I haven't even seen them acknowledge that this problem is not exclusive to Europe. I'd like to know what's being done to fix the lag issue that has been affecting players elsewhere, but I suppose that would require admitting it's a problem to begin with..
Lag spikes of 1-3k may not be as severe as Europe is experiencing, and I can understand prioritizing, however these lag spikes are enough to also make it impossible for the rest of us to enjoy most aspects of the game too, and I'm becoming increasingly frustrated at the continued line that this is an issue exclusive to a server in Germany. The evidence suggests otherwise.

400-1.5k ping constantly sometimes, other times it's fine... and this is in American/International districts.

My fear has come true: this is a lag weekend, and I cannot menage to play RA and gain Glad. Points cause the game is unplayable for me...
International districts are laggy too, so my hopes have been destroyed...
I'm very annoyed, but very sad too...
Thank you for this beautiful event A-net, but I can't join it...it's not my fault anyway...
